You no longer switch Agentforce on yourself. In Winter '27 Salesforce enables it by default wherever the org's licenses already include it.
Where
Lightning Experience orgs with Foundations on Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited and Developer Edition, plus orgs on Agentforce 1 Edition. New orgs are enabled at creation. Existing orgs are enabled on a rolling basis that started in the first week of September 2026.
How
The Agentforce toggle on the Agentforce Agents page in Setup is planned to be removed later in Winter '27. If Einstein generative AI is already enabled, admins get immediate access to Agentforce Builder. To let non-admin users build agents, assign the Manage AI Agents permission. You keep two controls: turning off the Einstein setting on the Einstein Setup page turns off the Agentforce platform, and each agent can still be activated or deactivated in Agentforce Builder.
Why
Salesforce presents this as one less step before building, testing and deploying agents, with no additional cost. For admins the practical task is a review: check who holds the Manage AI Agents permission and decide whether the Einstein setting should stay on, before the toggle disappears.
