Understanding field-level security used to mean cross-referencing multiple permission sets, profiles, and field-level security matrices. Summer '26 brings a Field Access tab to Object Manager that consolidates this view per field.
Where
Setup > Object Manager > [Any Object] > Field Access tab.
How
Navigate to any object in Object Manager, select a field, and open the Field Access tab to see which profiles and permission sets grant Read or Edit access to that field.
Why
Security audits and troubleshooting "why can't this user see this field" scenarios no longer require navigating through every permission set manually. One place, one field, full visibility.
