Lightning Sync, the legacy contact and event sync tool, is being retired. Customers on Office 365 and Exchange must transition to Einstein Activity Capture (EAC) to keep syncing.

Use the migration path in Setup to move users from Lightning Sync to EAC configurations before the cutoff. Review which sync behaviors change under EAC and reconfigure capture and sharing settings accordingly. The deadline for Office 365/Exchange users is August 2026.
Why
Salesforce is consolidating on Einstein Activity Capture as the go-forward sync and activity engine. Migrating early avoids a sync gap when Lightning Sync stops working.
