Salesforce Release Manager (Beta)

Summer '26 introduces the Salesforce Release Manager in Beta, giving orgs structured control over when and how they adopt upcoming platform features.

Where

Available in Setup under Release Manager for orgs that opt in. Applies to sandboxes and developer orgs. Not available for production until the feature reaches GA.

How

Choose from three release channels: Standard delivers features on the normal release schedule; Accelerated provides production-ready features early; Dev offers in-development features for preview and feedback. Switch channels from the Release Manager setup page and test features in a sandbox before they reach your production org.

Why

Salesforce releases have historically been all-or-nothing per release cycle. Release Manager gives teams the ability to preview and validate specific features early-or defer them-without waiting for the full release wave.
