Winter '27 adds a record preview sidebar to Lightning reports in beta, so you can inspect individual records without navigating away from the report.
Where
On the Lightning report run page. Click the new eye icon in the report toolbar, then click any record row in the report.
How
Selecting a record opens a preview panel in the sidebar showing the record's details. You can move between records while the report stays loaded behind it, instead of opening each record in a separate browser tab.
Why
Report review sessions typically generate a pile of open tabs, one per record checked. The inline preview keeps the analysis context intact and reduces browser clutter, which is a small but real quality-of-life win for anyone who works through reports record by record.
