Split by Field Value branches the flow based on the value of a field you pick, generating outcome paths without the full Decision setup. Split by Date branches on a date using operators like Before, Between, After, and Is On, compared against specific dates or resource values.
Why
Simple branching is the most common logic in flows, and these elements make it faster to build and easier to read on the canvas. Less configuration per branch means fewer mistakes and clearer diagrams for the next person who opens the flow.
